The rhythm sequences updates so that evidence reaches the right forum before a decision is due. It also leaves time for teams to carry out the decisions. A calendar full of reviews can otherwise become an elaborate explanation for why nothing was completed between them.

A working example
Workstreams submit evidence before the portfolio review, sponsors make priorities clear, and delivery teams update plans afterwards. Duplicate requests are removed where the same material already exists in a usable form.
