Our colleagues bring different experiences, perspectives and capabilities to Usual every day. Together, they create the culture that enables our organization to perform at its best.
We regularly ask colleagues to tell us what’s working and where we can improve. Responses to the Annual Employee Listening Survey are completely anonymous and reviewed in aggregate. Employee ID is required to confirm eligibility.
The Junior Executive Leadership Development & Readiness Pool provides emerging leaders with exposure to enterprise priorities, senior executives and cross-functional experiences. Pierce Gibbons currently serves as Acting Senior Junior Executive. Recipients of the annual Most Promising Junior Executive Award receive an additional year in the pool.
Although the term “Secretarial Pool” remains in common organizational use, it is considered a legacy designation. The department is officially listed as EXECUTIVE SECRETARIAL SERVICES (SECRETARIAL POOL).
Central Word Processing provides formatting, production and document-finalization support across Usual. Milton Ovington, Senior Word Processing Specialist, is the organization’s recognized authority on the Usual PowerPoint template and is considered a key-person dependency.
Corporate Proofreading provides post-publication quality assurance for significant enterprise communications. The department’s annual Typographical Prevention Award recognizes excellence in preventing typographical errors.
Meeting readiness, performance calibration, digital presence, career mobility and colleague connection.
Microsoft 365, Google Workspace and the behavior expected in large video meetings have their own Usual policies. The inherited Lotus Notes environments retain a stated exemption.
The same listening philosophy appears on the Employee Listening Survey Sticker: anonymous responses, with an employee ID so the invitation can be properly managed.
