The ambition
Introduced in April 2023, Forward4Ward organized enterprise acceleration around Focus, Fluency, Flow and Forwardness. The fourth pillar emerged from the naming workshop and entered use before its operating definition was agreed. Each pillar received an executive sponsor, a deputy sponsor and a dashboard owner.

How it is structured
The planned four-quarter program needed six quarters to agree a common definition of acceleration. The closing report credited a 25 percent reduction in pillar count after Flow was absorbed into Fluency. Operations remained unchanged; Communications reprinted 8,000 desk cards because the four-square diagram could no longer be explained.
