The lesson
Status language should connect to a defined result and evidence. Learners translate phrases such as progressing well, substantially complete and awaiting alignment into operational statements. The aim is clarity without requiring every update to sound like an incident report.
- 01Result
- 02Evidence
- 03Remaining work
- 04Decision
Open the scenario and suggested response
A deliverable is substantially complete except for approval and release. State that the work is drafted and identify the remaining decisions. Those are real accomplishments and real dependencies; combining them into one optimistic phrase makes both harder to assess.
Reading this public lesson does not submit a completion record.
