The lesson
Ownership belongs to a defined action or result. A coordinator may gather information without authority to make the decision. The course teaches colleagues to separate coordination, decision authority and delivery rather than assigning all three to an abstract box marked Business.

Open the scenario and suggested response
A project lead is told to own a supplier issue but cannot amend the agreement. The next step is to identify the contract owner, document the required change and coordinate the decision. Taking ownership does not manufacture authority.
