Benefits With Evidence

Recognizing the moment a forecast becomes an observation.

The lesson

A benefit needs a baseline, a mechanism and an observable result. The course distinguishes enabled savings from realized savings and both from reduced budgets. Learners practice describing partial benefits without either inflating them or treating them as failure.

  4. 04Observed result
Open the scenario and suggested response

A tool is retired, ending its licence cost, while support costs rise elsewhere. Record both effects and the resulting net change. The original business case remains useful context, but it cannot determine the observed total after the facts have changed.

Reading this public lesson does not submit a completion record.
