The opportunity
Develop and evaluate materials for industrial components and production applications.
Applied Research develops materials, products and technical methods with operating businesses. Teams test assumptions in the laboratory and validate them under production conditions.
What you will do
- Design experiments and analyze material behavior
- Coordinate laboratory and production trials
- Document findings and practical use limits
What you will bring
- Advanced materials training or equivalent research experience
- Experience with experimental design and testing
- Clear scientific writing and collaborative judgment
Your first six months
Validate a material improvement under conditions relevant to production.
Working arrangements
This role combines work at the listed location with time working remotely. Team attendance is agreed with the hiring manager and depends on the assignment. Hybrid does not mean location-independent.
A laboratory result should identify the conditions that made it possible.
Compensation and development
The base-pay range for this role is €70,000–€92,000 EUR annually. Positioning within the range reflects relevant experience, skills and the requirements of the assignment. Benefits and any additional compensation are discussed for the location and role.
You will agree priorities with your manager and review progress through regular conversations. Development may include technical learning, project assignments and opportunities across the enterprise.
