Several ways to get started.
Early careers at Usual include entry-level professional roles, coordination, technical support and operational work. A university route is one way in; relevant training, apprenticeships and experience in other settings may also prepare you for an assignment.
Learn through the work
New colleagues agree initial objectives with their manager, learn the systems used by the team and take responsibility for a defined part of the work. Clear feedback matters more than how many development events appear on the calendar.
Explore beyond your first team
Project work and cross-functional assignments can introduce other parts of the company. Any rotation needs an agreed scope, a receiving manager and a plan for the work left behind. An assignment should have a purpose beyond increased visibility.
Structured development
The Young Achievers Program provides an assessment and development pathway. Our learning resources introduce enterprise processes, delivery methods and practical situations colleagues encounter at work.
