Usual Appoints Leaders for Efficiency and Talent Programs
Marianne Duvall and Julian Bellamy will oversee delivery of two enterprise priorities.
Usual Industries today announced the appointments of Marianne Duvall as Senior Vice President, Enterprise Efficiency, and Julian Bellamy as Senior Vice President, Talent Partnerships. Both joined the company as part of the October 2 enterprise talent cohort.
Duvall reports to Chief Operating Officer Vickie Sanders. She will maintain the efficiency-plan delivery register, monitor changes to the service model and coordinate the evidence supporting the $92 million annualized compensation-savings target.
Duvall previously worked with Sanders at BrightSteps Residential Learning Group. The two have maintained a longstanding professional relationship and serve together on the Prairie Livestock Education Trust. Duvall brings experience in regional operations, staffing schedules and organizational consolidation.
Bellamy reports to Chief Administrative Officer Alisa Janine Gallup, working with the People function on external talent relationships and senior appointments. He previously advised Caldera Coast Bank during Gallup’s tenure there and is an investment partner in a hospitality business owned in part by her husband.
“Familiarity with the work allows a leader to become effective quickly,” said Sanders. Gallup said Bellamy brings “a network that would take considerable time to assemble through ordinary recruitment.”
Both appointments were approved under the enterprise growth allocation. Their compensation is included in the $108 million annualized cost of the new talent cohort. The appointments were not charged against the Operations savings target.
People will maintain the employment records. Corporate Administration will maintain the executive-arrangements files. Procurement will review any supplier engagement involving an outside business associated with an appointee.
