About the program

The assembly considered firm, company and conglomerate alongside colleague, associate and employee. Delegates tested proposed language against contracts, systems and ordinary conversation. The exercise retained several distinctions while preparing the Enterprise Identity Council’s closing position.

Who it is for

Corporate communicators, relationship leaders and people tasked with standardizing enterprise nouns.

Program

  1. The noun landscape

Separate legal names, cultural preferences and system labels.

  2. Relationship language

Describe one paying organization without changing its account record.

  3. Colleague classification

Test whether a new label changes the underlying relationship.

  4. Assembly record

Recommend a default with documented exceptions.

The working takeaway

A recommendation for three controlled style guides rather than one unresolved glossary.
