The framework and its scope
USO 9000 defines document appearance, approval sequence and the handling of deviations from either. Certification is issued by the Usual Standards Office after document and process reviews. The office retains the original certificate, a display copy and a separately approved version for presentations.

The Usual application
A department submits a complete pack with one heading in the wrong case. Its status becomes substantially consistent pending typographic remediation. The operating work is unaffected, providing an unusually clean separation between certification activity and operational performance.
