A practical approach
First-team manager Graham Deller organizes the side around compact distances, direct communication and a willingness to do the unphotographed work. Assistant coach Helen Marr leads the preparation of training sessions, while goalkeeper coach Paul Tern works with Rook and Cole.
From review to training
Match review begins with a few decisive passages rather than every available camera angle. Coaches identify what can be changed during the next session, and players receive specific tasks. A long presentation is not regarded as a conditioning exercise, regardless of its effect on the audience.
Working with the club
The football staff retain responsibility for selection and tactics. The sponsor receives visibility, hospitality and partnership updates. These are substantial benefits, but none includes choosing the starting midfield. The arrangement has proved particularly useful after matches discussed enthusiastically in the lounge.
