Foxmere Learning Center · Residential program
The opening commitment
The retreat opened with a statement that Usual’s future depended on people taking the next step. Delegates then received seating plans based on their present grade. A request to change tables was referred to the program sponsor, who explained that the exercise was about movement of ideas.
The development workshop
Each participant prepared an aspiration card and paired with a colleague to test it. One team’s cards all described the same next role. The facilitator treated this as evidence of shared purpose and moved the session toward transferable capabilities.
The outdoor exercise
Teams assembled a temporary bridge using supplied timber and rope. The observer assessed delegation, communication and confidence. One group asked Facilities to confirm the load limit. Its members completed the crossing last but provided the clearest documentation.
The follow-through
The retreat established the Opportunity Readiness register. Follow-up calls took place at 30, 60 and 90 days. The final call recorded strong readiness and limited openings. The forest-green event tee carries the original Forward, Together mark.
