The shared room
The event paired local gatherings with remote participants on the main screen. In-room colleagues were asked to speak toward the microphone. Remote colleagues were asked to switch on cameras. The room could see them clearly; they could hear whoever was sitting nearest the speakerphone.
The demonstration
Workplace Technology presented the new availability dashboard. Its presenter’s indicator changed to Away during the explanation. The team clarified that a presentation could involve sustained work without keyboard activity. The pilot dashboard had not yet received that clarification.
The table challenge
Each mixed team solved a short coordination exercise. Remote participants were assigned the role of record keeper because they could access the shared document. A local participant photographed the flip chart instead. Both records were submitted, and neither included the other’s final amendment.
The program change
The follow-up introduced the Presentation Delivery exception and renewed the requirement to agree collaboration windows locally. Presence Certified shirts mark completion of the program briefing. The green dot is an emblem, and does not respond to calendar invitations.
